Ammara Opens Up About Abuse
Songstress Ammara Brown has opened up about her childhood and what her family went through when she was still a young girl growing up at the hands of her father the late musician, Andy Brown the Chronicle reports.
Speaking at the launch of her video for her song Tichichema, the singer according to the publication broke down while narrating the story:
I loved and still do love my father. He was an incredible and compassionate person, but he was flawed. If any of you have been in a home where your parents were divorced, as a child nobody explains to you what happened.
FeedbackI was 12 and asked my mother about the truth of their parting. She then explained to me the truth of what happened. There were a lot of different kinds of abuse.
Ammara’s video Tichichema was launched on the onset of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
