Military Personnel Operated Drones, 4 Security Check Points On A 3Km Stretch, CCTVs And Tight Security At ED's Field Day Increase Coup Fears Speculation

The tight security at the president’s farm where Seedco hosted the national field day has ignited coup fear speculations.

The Zimbabwean Mail reports that there were CCTVs, a drone that was taking areal photos being operated by the military and tight security at the event which led them to ask if all the security is all because of coup rumours that circulated on social media a few weeks ago.

The 3-kilometre stretch that leads to the president’s farm reportedly had 4 security checkpoints, 2 of the checkpoints were being manned by military personnel.

Soldiers reportedly also body checked farm workers and villagers who were doing their normal chores at the farm and in areas around the farm.
