Penhalonga Miner's Body Finally Retrieved From The Collapsed Shaft 1 Week Later
An artisanal miner ‘s body has been retrieved from a collapsed shaft that killed him one week after his death, Mining Zimbabwe reports. 22 year old Panashe Dube died after the mine he was in collapsed and trapped him underground. Authorities could not retrieve his body for a week till they managed to retrieve it yesterday.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa confirmed the incident and said:
The horrific accident occurred on Sunday last week. Dube went down the shaft. While he was down the shaft, it collapsed and trapped him.
