Ziyambi Confirms The Govt Will Disburse $7.5 Million Meant For Political Parties To The Khupe Led Group

The Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has reportedly confirmed that the ZWL $7.5 Million which is supposed to be disbursed to the MDC Alliance through the Political Party’s Act will be disbursed to the Khupe led group, Bulawayo24 reports.

While answering questions about the funds Ziyambi reportedly said:

The money has not been released because of Covid-19, but I think the claims by the Mwonzora group are correct. My understanding is that the Alliance is a grouping of several parties and the MDC is the bigger party in that Alliance.

The Nelson Chamisa led MDC has however argued that the government is supposed to disburse the funds based on the number of MPs a party has deployed in parliament.
