FC Platinum In Bid To Lure Muduhwa From Highlanders
Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum are reportedly set to sign Highlanders defender Peter Muduhwa.
Former Highlanders coach, Heindrikus Pieter de Jongh, who is now at FC Platinum, is thought to be a strong admirer of Muduhwa who he coached at Bosso.
NewsDay quoted its source as having said that the Dutchman intended to complete Muduhwa’s transfer in the mid-season transfer window but the plans were scuppered by the coronavirus outbreak.
De Jongh had drawn his ambitious wish list and Peter Muduhwa tops it.
He was targeting to do the deal in the midseason transfer window, but with the delay in the start of the season, everything has gone off the rail.
FC Platinum are also thought to be keen on swooping on the Highlanders pair of Tinashe Makanda and Brian Banda, who are believed to have already signed pre-contracts with the Zvishavane-based club.
FC Platinum are set to play in the Confederations of African Football (CAF) Champions League in the upcoming term, with the competition set to start later this year.
The club has won the title in the past three seasons.
