Professor Chengetai Zvobgo Dies
The late nationalist Dr Eddison Zvobgo’s brother, academic and author, Professor Chengetai Jonas Mudadirwa Zvobgo has died, The Herald reports. Zvobgo died at St Giles Rehabilitation Center where he was admitted after he reportedly suffered a stroke last year.
His death was confirmed to the publication by his family’s spokesperson and GZU Vice-Chancellor Professor Rungano Zvobgo who said the Professor was a brilliant history Professor and a unifier:
He was a unifying force for the family. He would use humour to lighten heavy situations whilst referring to the Bible for words of wisdom and encouragement. In him, we have lost a father, brother, uncle and friend whose life is celebration of determination and valour. Chengetai was a brilliant history professor who loved his students and friends.
