Algeria Maintains Perfect Form Ahead Of Warriors Clash
Algeria Friday won 1-0 against Nigeria to extend their unbeaten run to 19 matches ahead of a clash with the Zimbabwe Warriors in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match.
The Algeria-Nigeria match was played in the Austrian town of Sankt Veit an der Glan.
The Desert Foxes last lost 2018 away to Benin and now move to the Netherlands for a friendly against Mexico on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Warriors were scheduled to travel to Malawi this Saturday ahead of their international friendly pencilled for Sunday.
Whatever the result the Warriors will get, it will unlikely reflect how strong or weak the team is considering that a number of players who are likely to be part of the team to face Algeria pulled out of the friendly match.
These players include Macauley Bonne (Queens Park Rangers), Tino Kadewere (Lyon) and Prince Dube who plays in Tanzania.
