ZESA Increases Electricity Tariffs By 50 Per Cent, Again
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings, has increased electricity tariffs by 50 per cent with effect from 1 November 2020. The company said in a statement:
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has adjusted the electricity tariffs by 50%.
This is in accordance with the Tariff Award of 2 October 2019, which approved the implementation of monthly tariff indexation formula for changes above 10%.
FeedbackBelow are the tariffs in ZWL that will be applicable effective 1 November 2020 for domestic metered customers:
- 1st 50 kWh – ZWL$1.67
- 51 to 200 kWh – ZWL$3.65
- 201 to 300 kWh – ZWL$9.92
- Balance – ZWL$15.57
ZETDC increased electricity tariffs by 50 per cent on 23rd September, then by another 50 per cent on 1 October and again, by 50 per cent today.
