WATCH: Diesel Rush In Harare After Fuel Tanker Overturns

Police were on Friday involved in running battles with residents of Warren Park D suburb in Harare who were scooping diesel from a fuel tanker which overturned earlier in the day.

The vehicle, laden with thousands of diesel, overturned at around 5 AM today and fuel started to cascade from the broken tank resulting in a stampede for the precious liquid.

The incident happened when the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) had just announced another fuel price hike, a development likely to trigger a fresh round of price increases across the board.
