Chamisa Consoles Families Of Helicopter Crash Victims
The president of the opposition MDC Alliance, Nelson Chamisa has sent condolences to the families of the Friday helicopter crash that happened in Goromonzi.
The Airforce of Zimbabwe helicopter crashed on a house at Plot 2 of Gardner Road, Ward 16 in Goromonzi, Mashonaland East, killing four people killed four people – two AFZ pilots, Flight- Lieutenant Annita Mapiye who is Zimbabwe’s first female helicopter fighter pilot and Wing Commander Tinashe Thomas Mapiye, an AFZ technician Flight Sergeant Chikamhi, and 18-month-old toddler – Jade Fenyere who was sleeping in the house and injured two more people.
Chamisa posted on Twitter expressing condolences to the bereaved families. He said:
My deepest condolences to the families of WCMG Thomas Manyowa, Flt Lt Anita Mapiye, Flt Sgt Tinodiwanashe Chikamhi & young Jade Fenyere who tragically died after a horrific AFZ helicopter crash. May Jada & her mother injured in the crash find quick & full recovery!
The cause of the crash is not yet known with authorities saying investigations are already underway.
