Mudiwa Hood Urges ZIFA To Fire Loga And Hire Mapeza
The Zimbabwe Anti-corruption Commission (ZACC) has been urged to investigate the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) over the hiring of Croat national Zdravko Logarusic as Warriors head coach.
Hip Hop star and entrepreneur Mudiwa Hood described Logarusic as a tourist who should not be anywhere near Warriors stars Marvelous Nakamba, Tino Kadewere and Khama Billiat.
Posting on Twitter following Zimbabwe’s 2-0 defeat to Namibia in the COSAFA Cup on Sunday, Mudiwa suggested there could be some underhand dealings involving ZIFA officials in the Croat’s continued stay as Warriors coach.
Instead of persisting with Logarusic, Mudiwa suggested the hiring of local coaches such as FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza and Nyasa Big Bullets (Malawi) gaffer, Kalisto Pasuwa, both former Warriors coaches, to lead the national team. He said:
ZACC should look into the ZIFA issue, that tourist guy is not a coach worth coaching Nakamba, Tino nana Billiat… He has not won anything, no plan at all… This is a scam… Get a local coach guys, Mapeza or Pasuwa… AFCON shouldn’t be given to Loga noooo #LogaOut
Since his appointment in February 2020, the Croat has only managed just one victory in the Warriors dugout, the 1-0 win over Botswana last March, which sealed qualification to the upcoming AFCON 2021 finals in Cameroon. His record read: 1 win in 11 games.
