T Freddy Bares Soul In New Song After His Rape Acquittal
Goodness and Mercy Ministries (GMM) founder and leader Tapiwa Freddy has released a single that chronicles his trials as he dealt with rape and abuse allegations.
The self-styled prophet titled the song “I Wanna Cry”. It was released on 14 February, barely a week after the clergyman was acquitted. Speaking during an interview with the Sunday Mail, Freddy said:
I was so stressed before I won the case. I used to have sleepless nights over the matter. I have since composed a new track that consoles me each time I listen to it. I believe music can effectively heal wounds.
FeedbackThis is the second time Freddy has composed a song inspired by real-life events.
A few years ago he released the song “Ndiri Kurwadziwa” (I’m In Pain) after his church building in Glen View was razed to the ground by the City of Harare.
