President Mnangagwa Commissions Boreholes In Harare's Glenview Suburb
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has commissioned boreholes in Glenview 3 suburb in Harare which will supply water to 300 households.
ZBC News reports that the boreholes were drilled under the Presidential borehole drilling Scheme.
After the launch, President Mnangagwa addressed Glen View 3 residents urging youths to step up the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs). President Mnangagwa:
I urge you to step up your use of ICTs to explore and exploit business opportunities that exist across the various sectors so that you help propel our socio-economic development agenda.
Everything is now modern we now have to depend on technology and our young generation should be exposed to science and technology.

Our young people must be introduced to the newest technology and make money, let us create employment for ourselves.
We will facilitate money and resources to those with innovative minds.
Meanwhile, critics say there is nothing to celebrate as the development was enough evidence that standards of living had deteriorated in Zimbabwe.
Hopewell Chin’ono, a journalist, described the development as mediocre. He said:
When young people who are working in Government offices celebrate this kind of mediocrity, it shows that the Government can’t be expected to deliver any meaningful service.
In 1980 there was clean running water in Glen View, and yet here is a young person celebrating boreholes.
He was responding to a social media post by hip hop artist, Mudiwa Hood who had applauded President Mnangagwa for his efforts to provide “clean water” to residents.
