Anti-corruption Content To Be Added To School Syllabi
The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) is working with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to provide content that will be taught to learners to ensure that they shun corruption from a young age.
In an interview with The Herald, Justice Matanda-Moyo said the provision of anti-corruption education in schools is a stepping stone towards the realisation of a corruption-free country at all levels. She said:
ZACC is currently working with the Curriculum Development Unit in the Ministry of Primary (and Secondary) Education to input teachable content in school syllabi.
FeedbackThe establishment of Anti-Corruption Clubs in schools and colleges, and the appointment of Anti-Corruption champions in both urban and rural communities are tools that will be used.
Mainstreaming anti-corruption content in the formal school curriculum is an important preventative tool.

Matanda-Moyo also said ZACC was working on correcting the public’s perception that it was a useless organisation with no capacity to fight corruption.
