Edmore Mufema

Edmore Mufema is a former Zimbabwean professional footballer who played for Dynamos Football Club in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. He also played for Motor Action Football Club as a striker.

Edmore was born on 17 November 1979 at Mbare Maternity Edith Opperman.

Career

As a young boy, Edmore broke into the Blackpool Football Club first team at the age of 16. He also played for the junior teams in Mbare. He played for Blackpool until 1999 when they sold their franchise to Eric Rosen who later named the club Motor Action Football Club. Mufema played for Motor Action up to 2003 when he joined Dynamos Football Club in a protracted transfer that saw Dynamos losing 3 points after they played him against Lancashire Steel before he was cleared after Eric Rosen had lodged a complaint to the PSL. He re-joined Motor Action during the 2005 season before leaving for Botswana in 2008 and joined Gaborone United a team he saved from relegation that same year. He went on to win the championship wit Gaborone United in 2010. Mufema had a short stint with Arcadia Football Club as a young player. His memorable years as a footballer are in 2003 when he joined Dynamos and 2005 when he was the ZPSL top goal scorer.
