Ephraim Chamba
Ephraim Chamba was a Zimbabwean radio personality, producer and playwright.
Career
As a playwright he wrote, produced and directed plays for the Rhodesia Broadcasting Corporation (RBC)'s Harare Studios. He wrote plays such as Dzokera Kwandiri, Nyambo DzavaMuzavazi and the popular Chako ndechako: Pfuma yenhaka inoparadza ukama which starred Walter Muparutsa.
After independence, Chamba helped establish a radio station called Community Radio Harare. Everything was in place, but government refused to give the station permission to start broadcasting.[1]
Death
Chamba died from injuries he sustained in a road accident at the intersection of George and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo. He was buried at Warren Hills Cemetery.
