Career

Masakadza has played over 140 ODIs for Zimbabwe, after having made his debut appearance in 2001. In 2009 Masakadza became the first Zimbabwe player to score above 150 twice. That year, he scored 3 centuries.[1]

In May 2016 Masakadza was dismissed by Zimbabwe Cricket from his role as team captain after a poor performance at the World T20 tournament in March 2016. This was not the first time he was dismissed as it happened in October 2015 before he retained as captain in all three formats of the game following Elton Chigumbura's resignation from the position.[2]
