Innocent Mapuranga is a Zimbabwean footballer who was born on 1 January 1977. He is a former player for Highlanders Football Club as a defender.
Background
Innocent Mapuranga was born on 1 January 1977.[1] He started his career in Mvurwi playing for a Division 1 outfit Mvurwi United in 1996. In 1999 he moved to Chegutu based Lulu Rovers
Career
Mapuranga played for the Bulawayo based Railstars Football Club since 2003 before joining the now defunct CAPS FC (formerly Buymore) in 2008 and then joined Highlanders Football Club in 2009. In 2013 Innocent Mapuranga agonisingly saw his side lose the championship title to Dynamos Football Club on goal difference. During his spell with the Bulawayo giants he won the Mbada Diamonds Cup and also was named among the Soccer Stars of the Year finalists. He also saw his career being iced by the fact that in 2012 he was called to the Zimbabwe national team in a friendly match against Zambia.

Innocent Mapuranga has a Level Two coaching course.
