Matthew Rusike is a Zimbabwean footballer who plays as a midfielder and a striker. He currently plays for Tunisian club CF Sfaxien.
Rusike was born on the 28th of June 1990 to Phillip and Sue Rusike. His father was a Zimbabwean who owened a retail franchise while his mother was a South African hairdresser. He started playing soccer at an early age and enrolled at BN Academy, run by Bhekimpilo Nyoni. At the age of 16, he moved to Charlton Athletic in London, England.
Rusike attended [St. George's College]] in Harare where he he became on of the youngest players to play for the St. George's College soccer first team. He broke into the first team at the age of 15.
University of Pretoria
After winning the league title with Monomotopa, Rusike moved to South Africa where he joined University of Pretoria. While there, he contemplated quitting football after having disciplinary issues. While he was mulling quitting football to go to university, Jomo Sono came to his rescue. Sono asked Rusike to join him at his club Jomo Cosmos. Rusike agreed and the University of Pretoria released him from his contract.
Rusike joined Jomo Cosmos in the South African second tier, the National First Division and mahnaged to help them to secure promotion to the first tier Premier Soccer League. During this time Rusike excelled and soon he had many suitors including teams from South Africa, England, France and Belgium. Rusike won the 2011–2012 Ezenkosi Player of the Year getting 33.26% of the votes from fans.. Rusike opted to join Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa.
Rusike joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2012, and promptly showed his worth scoring a foal on debut against Bloemfontein Celtic, although Chiefs lost that game 4-3.. On 22 April 2015, he scored two goals against Polokwane City which gave Kaizer Chiefs a 4–1 victory which crowned Chiefs as champions of the Premier Soccer League.Rusike played his last match for Kaizer Chiefs on 9 May 2015 at the expiry of his contract. 
CD Nacional Madeira
After leaving Kaizer Chiefs, Rusike signed a two-year contract with Portugues club CD Nacional Madeira. However, he left the club without kicking the ball after contractual disputes a few weeks after signing. As a result, Rusike parted ways with Nacional and headed to Scandinavia.
On 24 July 2015, Rusike signed a one and half year deal with Swedish Club Halmstads. Rusike scored foour goals in 10 starts for Halmstads BK. When Halmstad was relegated from the Swedish Allsvenskan to the Superettan, Rusike became a free agent due to an option in his contract.
In January 2016, Rusike signed a three-year deal with Swedish Allsvenskan side Helsingborg IF. However, Helsingborg IF were relegated from the Swedish Allsvenskan.
On the 3rd of January 2017 Rusike signed for Tunisian club CF SFaxien.
