News:Government continues to reassure civil servants
<vote /> Acting Minister of Public Service, Supa Mandiwanzira yesterday said that government is committed to fulfilling its obligations to its employees and said that the door remained open for further engagement with civil servants.
Mandiwanzira said that the civil servants had not yet formally communicated their intention to go on strike today as Government was waiting for formal feeedback from the woker's representatives.
The Apex Council announced that then workers would stay away from work starting today, in protest of delayed salary payments.
The education sector will get paid on 7 July, followed by the rest of the civil servants on 14 July. Pensioners will get their dues on 19 July.
