News:Kirsty Coventry Qualifies for 200m Backstroke Finals in Brazil. Thornycroft To Compete For A Place In The Finals Today
Kirsty Coventry kept her and Zimbabwe's medal hopes alive when she qualified for the 200 m backstroke finals in the Olympics currently going on in Rio, Brazil yesterday.
Coventry came fourth in the semi-finals last night clocking a time of 2.08.83 in a competitive race and is set to compete in the finals tomorrow. Coventry is one of Africa’s shinning stars after collecting several medals in the Olympics Games and other competitions in the past. She has not yet won any medal in this year in Brazil.
