<vote /> Former Deputy Minister of Sports, Education and Culture Tabetha Kanengoni-Malinga was the recipient of part of $20 000 that was stolen during the Mighty Warriors' trip to Ghana.

It is alleged that Miriam Sibanda, Benny Mamoche and Fungai Magoswomwe who had the responsibility of sourcing funds for the Mighty Warriors, received $20 000 from Freda Rebecca Mine in Bindura.

The money was however not remitted to the Zifa (now NFAZ) finance manager but the trio shared it among themselves.

National Football Association of Zimbabwe board member Cecilia Gambe, testified in court that Malinga received $2 186 for airfare.

Gambe went on to say that,

"There was no need for the deputy minister to be given money for airfare by the association. Signatures of some players were forged to indicate they were paid whilst none of them received the money.

Provincial magistrate Vongai Muchuchutu remanded the matter to June 23.
