News:Munyaradzi Kereke Found Guilty Of Rape

ZANU PF, Bikita West MP, Munyaradzi Kereke was this morning found guilty of raping his niece after a fully contested trial. He was however, cleared of indecently assaulting her sister. This was a landmark trial, as it was the first private prosecuted case Zimbabwe has had, seeing that the Johannes Tomana-led Public Prosecution felt that there wasn't any strong evidence to get a conviction.

According to a report in the Newsday, he will mitigate (give reasons as to why the court should deal softly with him) before sentencing this afternoon
