Tonderai Chavhanga is a Zimbabwean born rugby star who plays for the springboks of South Africa. He is one of the most talented and speedy players of the game.

Background

Tonderai was born in Masvingo, Zimbabwe on December 24, 1983. He attended Prince Edward High School where he made history by becoming the youngest player to play for the first team.[1]

Career

Chavhanga made his springbok debut when he was just aged 21 in 2005. He went on to score a total of six tries making him the record holder for the most number of tries scored in a single game.[2] After having established himself as arguably on of he best wingers in the South African league, Chavhanga was side by British side, Dragons where he also had some outstanding performances. Despite having a nagging knee injury, Chavhanga has been a very impressive player for the springboks. Currently he is playing in Suth Africa since the expiry of his contract with the Newport Gwent Dragons in in 2013[3]
