Job Description

The position of an Administration Assistant has arisen within the National Biotechnology Authority, and we hereby invite applications from suitably qualified individuals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Organize and schedule meetings and events.
  • Design and maintain the inventory register.
  • Responsible for the stationery requisition system.
  • Resolve administrative problems.
  • Asset register maintenance.
  • Effective management of postal/ courier services.
  • Keeping records of payments and service providers.
  • Coordinate general organization cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and files.
  • Supervising Administration Staff.
  • Assisting in general administrative activities.
  • Assisting in ensuring transparent and efficient use of NBA resources (vehicle Fleet management, premise management etc.).
  • Any other duties that maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration or related.
  • Proven administration assistant experience at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence.
