Job Description
A well-established company in drilling and blasting seeks to consider suitable and qualified candidates for the above position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To service and maintain plant and tools to a high standard.
- Organise and monitor workload of workshop staff.
- Liaise closely with Plant/Workshop Administrator/Foreman.
- To diagnose faults and repair/maintain of all plant and tools both in the workshop and on site.
- Organise workload amongst the workshop staff to cover all site calls both in and out of hours and assign specific tasks accordingly in conjunction with the Foreman.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Issue all safety bulletins to workshop staff, record signatures and pass copies to Site Manager for personnel files.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Diesel Plant Fitting or equivalent in subjects related to Vehicle and Plant Maintenance.
- 10 years’ experience in Diesel Plant Fitting.
- 5 years’ experience as a foreman or supervisor in mining and construction.
- Solid understanding of mobile earthmoving equipment.
- You must have completed a full vehicle apprenticeship.
- You MUST have a full Driving Licence for all vehicle categories.
