Mujuru hints at the possibility of an early presidential election
Former vice president Joice Mujuru has hinted that the opposition is readying for the possibility that elections will be held before the scheduled 2018.
Choosing her words carefully, Mujuru who is in the United Kingdom ahead of an address Thursday at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, said,
One wouldn’t really be sure whether we’ll get to 2018 because some of it goes with nature … our man is quite old, he is quite sick and the situation is very volatile. Zimbabwe’s people want to change the government through the rightful constitutional process.
FeedbackHowever doubts remain over if Mujuru is genuine, with some insisting that had she not been booted out, she would still be in Zanu PF and professing loyalty to the man she still calls father.
