Prophet sells "anointed umbrellas" which protect congregants from lightning and demons

Controversial Goodness and Mercy Ministries leader Prophet Tapiwa Freddy sold anointed umbrellas for $10 to his congregants. The umbrellas, which the church leader had prayed for, were said to have divine powers which would protect the users from lightning and demons.

The Prophet said:

God instructed me to pray for these umbrellas and there will be no member of this church who will buy the umbrella and get struck by lightning or will be tormented by demons. 2017 is a year of overtaking and this year we shall overtake if you have faith, God will use these umbrellas to perform miracles, signs and wonders.

It is reported that there was a scramble for the umbrellas, and a few congregants were injured in the process.
