Norton and Chiredzi councillors to face the music for corruption, as Kasukuwere sets his target on them
Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Minister Saviour Kasukuwere has sent investigation teams to look into allegations that councillors in Norton and Chiredzi are engaging in corrupt practices. They are alleged to be allocating themselves residential stands and then selling the stands to desperate home seekers at huge markups. Last week Kasukuwere fired 25 councillors in Chitungwiza including the mayor on charges of corruption.
Speaking on Norton and Chiredzi, Kasukuwere said:
We will soon descend on Norton Town Council and Chiredzi Town Council where there have been reported cases of corruption
