Zanu-PF youths cause chaos at National Heroes Acre, say they wanted Mnangagwa to bury Mahofa
Zanu-PF youths who were in the terraces at the National Heroes Acre on Sunday during the burial of Shuvai Mahofa, made interjections midway through Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko’s speech resulting in the intervention of state security agencies and police officers.
A youth identified as Cde Mafa said:
We are angry at President Mugabe for according Mphoko the right to preside over this funeral. He is our enemy; in fact, he and other G40 people are responsible for the death of comrade Chikoforo. They tried to kill her two years ago but she survived but now they have finally succeeded.
FeedbackAnother youth identified as Cde Elias said:
President Mugabe should have come to preside over the funeral because now the G40 thinks it has all the power while our candidate (to succeed Mugabe) is the loser. This will cause more tension within the two camps.
