Mliswa criticises "insensitive" Jonathan Moyo for "unacceptable" $1 billion Robert Mugabe University
Former Zanu-PF member and independent legislator for Norton Temba Mliswa has criticised Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo’s idea to set up the $1 billion Robert Mugabe University. Mliswa said that the idea was irrational as the money could be better utilised in resuscitating the economy. He added that Moyo was trying to protect his position. Said Mliswa:
I do not deny that President Mugabe is an icon but, I think we have got to be rational as on how we go about certain things. A billion dollars can go a long if injected into the economy and then we have an insensitive minister and government presiding over a billion dollars to be given to a university.
It is totally unacceptable and as parliamentarians, we shall be moving this forward to really ask these ministers what they are doing in parliament.
FeedbackSurely, these are their own ideas with them trying to protect themselves and we shall not accept that and allow such insensitive decisions by cabinet to ruin this country.
