Wicknell Buys Jah Prayzah's New CD for $10 000 as Politicians Boycott Album Launch
Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo bought the first CD from Jah Prayzah’s new album, Kutonga Kwaro, for $10 000. He also donated an additional $2 000 cash to the musician’s wife as a token of appreciation for “taking good care” of Jah Prayzah. Chivayo was the guest of honour at the launch of the album as politicians failed to grace the event. This comes as the musician has been accused of dabbling in Zanu-PF’s factional politics with his music.
Jah Prayzah, real name Mukudzei Mukombe, has been at pains to dismiss any political connections as just coincidence. in 2015, Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa was the guest of honour at Jah Prayzah’s album launch.
