Zanu PF will rig 2018 elections to ensure Mugabe is not humiliated again, and opposition is aiding says Arthur Mutambara
Former Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara has warned the opposition that its failure to unite will allow President Robert Mugabe to justify another rigged election in 2018. Mutambara added that Zanu-PF will rig the 2018 elections in order to ensure that Mugabe does not suffer another election loss like what happened in 2008. Speaking at Oxford University in the United Kingdom earlier this week, Mutambara said:
Mugabe and Zanu PF will win next year’s elections. They will rig the vote and a deeply divided opposition will give Zanu PF the plausible rationale to get away with it.
Mugabe took his 2008 defeat very, very badly. He was devastated. So, Zanu PF will rig the elections to ensure its leader is not humiliated again.
FeedbackIt did not help that the African Union (AU) and Sadc leaders stood up to him and insisted that they would not recognise his run-off victory.
By the way, Mugabe cares about South Africa, cares about Sadc, cares about the AU, but everyone else can go to hell.
