Chiyangwa to contest in 2018 Elections, accuses MDC-T of cheating in 2013
5 years ago
Flamboyant businessman and Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa has said that he will be contesting in next year’s harmonised elections. Chiyangwa will be running for the Chinhoyi constituency. Chiyangwa also accused the opposition MDC-T of having cheated in the 2013 elections. Addressing a Zanu-PF district meeting in Chinhoyi on Thursday, Chiyangwa said:
Let it be known today that Dr Philip Chiyangwa will stand in the 2018 harmonised elections. I know I have all that is needed in terms of requirements by the party to represent it.
FeedbackWe were caught off guard by the MDC-T who bussed in people from outside Chinhoyi to vote, but this time around we are wiser. That seat must return to Zanu-PF.
Chiyangwa is likely to run against at least four other aspiring candidates.
