Kenneth Kaunda Flies Into Zimbabwe To Convince Mugabe To Step Down
Zambian President Edgar Lungu is reported to have sent former Zambian president Kenneth Kaunda as a special envoy to Harare to convince President Robert Mugabe to step down. The Zambians presidents want Mugabe to have a “dignified exit.” Mugabe has been under severe pressure to step down ever since the Zimbabwe Defence Forces seized power in a military takeover last week.
