Get Rid Of All Opportunists Who Cheered on Grace Mugabe and G40: War Veterans Advise Mnangagwa
Zanu-PF First Secretary and President, Emmerson Mnangagwa has been advised to reconstitute the Politburo and to make sure that he does not include any officials who cheered on former first lady Grace Mugabe and her G40 Faction when they allegedly captured the state. The call came from the war veterans who believe that certain individuals should not be rewarded with Cabinet positions as they have no loyalty. The former freedom fighters singled out Obert Mpofu, Simon Khaya Moyo and Sydney Sekeramayi.
Addressing the media on Sunday, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association Mashonaland West provincial chair Blessed Runesu Geza said:
Khaya Moyo should have refused to read the statement firing our President. We are tired of opportunists who have no principles. These same people are prepared to dump Mnangagwa today if Mugabe comes back. They failed to just boycott Cabinet, some of them even wanted to stall impeachment proceedings.
FeedbackMpofu was accused of declaring that he would resign if Mnangagwa became president at a provincial meeting in Matabeleland North.
