Chamisa Campaign Moves To Rural Areas
Speaking to NewsDay, MDC-T presidential spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka confirmed that the MDC Alliance has now tilted its campaign towards the rural areas.
MDC-T leader, Nelson Chamisa will address an MDC Alliance rally in Murewa on Saturday before proceeding to Nzvimbo growth point in Chiweshe, Mashonaland Central, the following day. Said Tamborinyoka:
We are going rural and the MDC Alliance has from now on, heavily tilted its campaign towards the rural areas. On Saturday, we will be in Murewa and proceed to Chiweshe. We will scour every village and every ward. We are talking of a presidential candidate (Chamisa), who grew up in Gutu and when he is in the rural areas, he will be in his domain.
FeedbackMDC Alliance was forced to move the rally to Murewa after police in Marondera initially blocked a rally scheduled for Rudhaka Stadium, citing President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s alleged visit to the town on the same date. MDC-T Mashonaland East deputy organising secretary, Boniface Tagwirei said the Marondera rally will be held on a yet to be announced date.
