Women Must Go "Pantyless" On Election Day To Vote Correctly: Misihairabwi-Mushonga
MDC proportional representation legislator Priscilla Musihairabwi-Mushonga has called for all women to go pantyless on election day. She said that this will help to remind them to vote the right way and to vote for female candidates. Speaking at the Spiritual Solidarity Tea for Thokozani Khupe.
Said Misihairabwi-Mushonga,
It is high time we show men that we can do it in style and support each other. On election day, we are all going to be pantyless just in case that demon of not voting for a female candidate catches up with you while in the ballot box. You can always lift up your dress and remember that you are a woman.
In our culture, if you do not like your son-in-law, on the day he comes for lobola negotiations, you lift up your dress to express yourself. As women, we are lifting up our dress for men because they have exposed us to a level we cannot tolerate.
The outspoken legislator has a record for making what may be considered outrageous statements. She also attacked men in her talk saying,
