Zanu-PF Seizes NPF Leader's Campaign Vehicle
Zanu-PF last week repossessed the campaign vehicle that it had given to former Minister for Mashonaland East, Ambrose Mutinhiri in 2013. This comes after Mutinhiri quit the party to lead the National Patriotic Front (NPF) opposition party which has received the endorsement of former president Robert Mugabe. Said Mutinhiri to NewsDay,
It is true, the vehicle was taken and I do not know where it is right now. They arrived at my place and said they had come to collect the vehicle, saying it is needed by the government. The car is one of those we were given during Zanu PF campaigns some years back. Two guys from the President’s Office are the ones who took it.
Mutinhiri will be running against his former colleague, President Emmerson Mnangagwa as well as Nelson Chamisa, Joice Mujuru, Nkosana Moyo, Dumiso Dabengwa for the presidency in elections which will be held between July 21 and August 21.
