Benjamin Lock Advances To Second Round
Benjamin Lock advanced to the second round of the ongoing International Tennis Federation Old Mutual Futures Series when he beat William Bushamuka 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-4, yesterday at Harare Sports Club.
He joins Takanyi Garanganga and Mehluli Sibanda, who also advanced to the second round on Monday when they won their opening matches. Benjamin later on teamed up with his younger brother Courtney for the doubles and they triumphed 6-0, 3-6, 10-7 against Christian Paul and Joseph Imeh Ubon from Nigeria. Mehluli Sibanda and Muzi Sibanda beat Vasilios Caripi and Joshua Howard-Tripp 6-4, 3-6, 10-5.
In today’s matches Benjamin plays against Lance-Pierre Du Toit of South Africa while Mehluli faces Milen Lanakiev from Germany. Garanganga will play against Ubon of Nigeria. In the doubles, the Lock brothers will play Mehluli and Muzingaye Sibanda.
