Mnangagwa Was Never Scheduled To Address A Rally In Hwange Says Charamba As Mnangagwa Fails To Address Supporters
Secretary for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Mr George Charamba told The Herald that President Mnangagwa was never scheduled to address a rally in Hwange yesterday. He said Mnangagwa had gone for a ground breaking ceremony.
However, Zanu-PF supporters had gathered at Hwange Colliery Stadium expecting to be addressed by Mnangagwa after the groundbreaking ceremony. Said Charamba:
The President was never slotted to address a rally in Hwange today. He went in to simply ground-break for Hwange 7 and 8 and then rush back to Harare to meet two trade delegations that are in the country and of course to prepare for tomorrow’s (today) fixture.
FeedbackDespite Charamba’s comments, the State owned Herald quoted Zanu-PF provincial member Patrick Utete saying they were preparing for a Zanu-PF rally is set for Hwange Colliery Stadium in the afternoon.
