MDC Mourns Zimbabwe's Ambassador to Senegal Trudy Stevenson
The MDC Assembly of Women has issued a statement mourning Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Senegal and the Gambia Trudy Stevenson who was found dead at her residence in Dakar, Senegal on Friday 24 August.
Stevenson was a founding member of the MDC and was appointed ambassador to Senegal and The Gambia in 2009 during the inclusive government as a deployee of MDC led by Professor Welshman Ncube. At the time of her death, Ms Stevenson, who served as MDC’s national secretary for policy and research—had quit politics to focus on her diplomatic career. The MDC Assembly of Women has learnt with great shock the death of Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Senegal and the Gambia, Ms Trudy Stevenson.

She was a founding member of MDC and was appointed Ambassador to Senegal and the Gambia during the inclusive Government.
