Morgan Tsvangirai's Younger Brother Casper Dies
MDC Alliance spokesperson Jacob Mafume confirmed to NewsDay that Nelson Chamisa cancelled his party’s parliamentary caucus meeting to allow members to attend the burial of the late Morgan Tsvangirai’s younger brother, Casper, who died in Kwekwe on Saturday.
Officials told NewsDay that Chamisa had been called to direct all candidates who participated in the elections to go back to the grassroots and increase MDC Alliance’s visibility on the ground ahead of the 2023 general elections.
MDC Alliance youth leader Happymore Chidziva said Casper’s death had left the party poorer, as it came eight months after the former Prime Minister succumbed to cancer of the colon and received a State-assisted funeral.
