British PM Margaret Thatcher Considered Mugabe More Intelligent, Though Mandela Was A Great Deal Nicer

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who was nicknamed “The Iron Lady” reportedly had a low opinion of the late South African President Nelson Mandela.

According to British cabinet papers released recently, Thatcher said that Mandela had a closed mind and was an old-fashioned socialist who was a slave of his party, the African National Congress (ANC). In contrast, Thatcher considered former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe very intelligent.
