Energy Mutodi 'Ready' To Take Over Leadership Of The ZANU PF Youth League
Member of Parliament for Goromonzi West constituency, Energy Mutodi is already yearning for the post of ZANU PF Secretary for the Youth League.
Mutodi, who is the Deputy Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, revealed today that if President Emmerson Mnangagwa chooses him for the post, he was ready to seize the opportunity with both hands. Writing on microblogging site on Thursday afternoon, Mutodi said:
I am ready to serve as the ZANU PF Secretary for the Youth League if President ED Mnangagwa chooses me. I am committed to the establishment of an informed, vibrant, vigilant and empowered youth league for the good of our party ZANU PF and for the greater good of Zimbabwe.
FeedbackMutodi’s remarks come as the ZANU PF youth league passed a vote of no confidence on its entire national executive. Some reports indicate that the vote of no confidence passed on Wednesday has something to do with the party’s perennial factional wars, in this case, Mnangagwa pitted against his vice, Deputy President Constantino Chiwenga.
