"Civilian President Of Zimbabwe", Tinashe Jonas Arrested
The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) says an opposition leader, Tinashe Jonas has been arrested. Jonas is the leader of the Ideal Party Zimbabwe and self-proclaimed “Civilian President of Zimbabwe”.
Jonas has been charged with undermining the authority of or insulting President Emmerson Mnangagwa. ZLHR revealed this on their Twitter page. They wrote:
In Harare, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has charged Tinashe Jonas, an opposition political party leader with undermining the authority of or insulting President Emmerson Mnangagwa for allegedly slurring the ZANU PF party leader during a televised broadcast programme broadcast on a South African news channel.
FeedbackJonas was recently in the news after he declared that he would be arresting all three members of the praesidium, President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputies Vice Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi on the 9th of March for various charges.
Jonas however, has been nabbed before he could make good his threats. Watch Video below:
