ZANU PF MP On Brink Of The Sack After Calling For Mnangagwa, Chamisa Talks
The ruling ZANU PF party’s Masvingo provincial coordinating committee (PCC) on Friday resolved to expel Chivi South legislator and businessman Killer Zivhu, from the party.
Zivhu reportedly snubbed a hearing called by the party’s provincial disciplinary committee chaired by vice-chairperson Ailess Baloyi over a week ago.
He is being accused of treacherous behaviour after he used social media to push for a meeting between First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and MDC-Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife Sithokozile.
Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chair Ezra Chadzamira confirmed the decision to fire Zivhu from the party. He said:
We sat as the PCC today (yesterday) and recommended to the NDC that Cde Zivhu be expelled from the party for his activities on social media.
We arrived at the decision to recommend his expulsion because even when we served him with a prohibition order and called him to a hearing, he snubbed the process.
The philanthropist’s fate is now in the hands of the Zanu-PF National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) which has the final say on whether or not to endorse his expulsion.
If Zivhu is sacked from the party, he will automatically cease to be the ruling party MP for Chivi South, necessitating a by-election.
