"ED Pfee" Singer, Admire Sanyanga Granted Bail
ED Pfee singer Admire Sanyanga (32), popularly known as chief Shumba, has been granted bail.
Sanyanga, who is facing rape charges, was released on $200 bail by Magistrate Barbra Mateko.
As part of his bail conditions, Sanyanga was instructed not to interfere with state witnesses and to continue residing at the address he submitted till the matter has been finalised.
The matter was pushed forward to September 6.
Sanyanga is being accused of raping a housemaid who works at a Waterfalls home where he receives spiritual healing.
The State alleges that the incident took place on July 30 this year in Waterfalls.
It further alleges that Chief Shumba asked the maid to assist him to carry his luggage from the house where he was receiving treatment to his house.
When they arrived, Sanyanga invited the complainant into the room but she rejected the offer. He reportedly dragged her inside and then violated her without using protection.
The accused threatened the complainant against reporting the matter and she complied.
She only recorded the incident in her diary which was later discovered by her employer. The complainant’s boss reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of the singer.
