Nakamba Calm Despite Racist Attack
England-based Zimbabwean international, Marvelous Nakamba has said that he was not losing sleep over recent racist attacks by some of his club’s fans.
Nakamba became the latest victim of racist attacks after Aston Villa fans on Saturday made improper chants about their best player at the moment.
The Villans had won 5-1 against Norwich City in a Premier League match in which Nakamba displayed yet another splendid performance.
Speaking to the Chronicle before training on Tuesday, the defensive Warriors midfielder said he remained focused on the game. He said:
I’m not worried at all, all is well and God is in control.
I just want to enjoy my game, keep on improving. I’m feeling the love from everyone at Aston Villa which makes my work even easier.
Aston Villa has since a statement expressing displeasure in the fans saying they need to be identified and punished accordingly.
