"Chamisa Is Examining Recommendations By Churches" - Chamisa Spokesperson
Leader of the opposition MDC, advocate Nelson Chamisa is reportedly scrutinising the recommendations that were made by churches to see if they are in resonance with the party’s plans already in existence.
Dr Nkululeko Sibanda, Chamisa’s spokesperson said that dialogue is among a number of strategies Chamisa intends to implement to solve the country’s socio-economic and political crises. He said:
We are in that space where the President is studying the proposals handed to him by the churches and in a short while, he will be able to speak to whether or not the proposals meet the minimum qualifications set by the five-point plan.
FeedbackThe party has already a five-point plan that would guide its actions and its concentration of any proposals regarding dialogue. The dialogue is part of the President’s position on resolving Zimbabwe’s crisis.
Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations (ZHoCD) on Tuesday met and suggested that the country suspend electoral contestations in the country for seven years.
ZHcoCD has also submitted their proposals to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
